Vacation day # the last – We went kayaking today. I saw a New Bird – a kingfisher. We saw a blue heron fly overhead, heard loud grasses filled with bugs, frogs, and dragon flies, and saw flocks of Canada geese.

Today was long and felt like Friday all day…all day.

I fell asleep listening to Benjamin Clementine and reading about true crime…and then I baked a cake.

Planted some mint and thyme while listening to Klaus Nomi.

Gave the finger frighteners a bath. They were unexplainably sticky.

We got a new grill today.

I’ve run out of birdseed. The cat has wild eyes. The leach field failed. …

There was a startling incident in the hall with what may have been a spider…although my son assured me it was an ant.
